I had the same proplem, the dungeon was easy and we all had 10% morale boost, then when we faced him we went down to 60%dp and there was no hope.
this was with herohench btw, players could probably sodomise him.

If me dad's PC can handle it, I'm gonna have another crack at this guy.
I'm hoping Broadhead Arrow, and a bunch of Power Drains/Leech Sigs on caster heroes will work.

Just beat him with heroes/hench without much difficulty. Broadhead Arrow wins the day, and Devona's Backbreaker spam helps a lot, too.

I just finished this one with Hero/Hench. Seriously, those stalagmites and their spirits and the ice-spewing environmental effects sure were annoying. Luckily, the dungeon itself was rather short. I dunno how fun I'll find 5-level dungeons which take hours... hopefully there'll be shorter ones too, like this.
I was a basic BHA ranger, two fire ele's and MM Olias (who turned out to be not much of a benefit there) with healer henchies. Keep the boss permanently dazed and you should be able to interrupt Diamondshard mist most of the time.

Just beat him with hero/hench. Had one group res during the fight, but otherwise it went okay - interrupts were useful.

I hero/henched him, first took out the things around him and just got the last one before a wipe, then ran back in had the hero's use MS, and i as a ranger tried to get interrupts where every possible he took about 4 -5 minutes to go down with a few more in battle deaths.

i did him with hero/hench as well, my aproach was similar to kakumei's, broad head arrow ranger, but added a choking gas ranger as well, it was pretty much gg.

I had 3 hero fire nukers and the interrupt hench and me with Dwarven Battle Stance. He actually nearly wiped us out but after everyone was rezzed we beat him. It was never really tense.

I put my heroes in the back and let him pound on my ProtSpirit.
I interrupt as much as I can and let the eles do their job.
Oh, and the 'finish him' skill might be handy.

I used 2SF Eles, my Tahl as a ZB monk, Mhenlo, Zho, Eve....and somebody else >_> Probably Talon Silverwing.
He wasn't that bad.
I was a Rt/P SS build, so I had an interrupt, Zho had an interrupt, Tahl had PDrain and Leech Sig...It was actually just my normal hero setup =)

did you guys check out the mimimap? He's marked by a red skull :S awesome!
I beat him with hero hench. I was a mesmer so it was easy :P. I think I had Koss, both fighter henchmen and Morgahn with Flame, that adrenaline-giving elite chant and Envy. The henchies suffered a few deaths, so it was a bit tough.
He'd be about as strong as The Drought... I suppose.
